On that note, I am encouraging you to be a little naughty today, and take a peek at Stephen's first issue of WHO'S HUNGRY? the online magazine. I was extremely excited to style this early spring edition, and can tell you first hand that everything Stephen does, he does well. In support to the stunning images, you will find special recipes like this one for the Violette cocktail served at The Aviary

And feature articles, such as one on mustard, inspired by Stephen's recent work in Napa

The magazine also takes you behind the scenes for a look at life in a top food photography studio. I'm in the WHO'S HUNGRY? Stylist's Corner this issue, challenged by Stephen to bring spring moss to the table. Stop by and see what I came up with, without using moss at all!

Sunning photographs...and very surprising tools food stylists use.
ReplyDeleteIs this an online only magazine? I would love to have a print version.
Hi there, the magazine was designed for online reading, and offers many great links that would be lost in a printed publication. However, Stephen did print a few hundred copies of the first issue. If he has any left, I'm sure he would post it on his Facebook page

so you may want to check in there. Thanks for writing, glad you enjoyed Who's Hungry?

ReplyDeleteVery nice work Paula! Great magazine.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comment, Laura!
ReplyDeleteGreat magazine Paula! And I glad I found my way over to your blog too! Congrats on your feature!
ReplyDeleteI love the magazine shots and your piece in it. Very nicely done. Although it is not the same as holding a glossy paper in your hand, it is nice to see something as beautiful put together on the web as well. You are right about the links, in paper versions, when I see a link, I say "Oh I should go check this out" but I never remember when I am around the computer.
